Her paternal ancestry goes back to the early days of 1700, when John Keagy, whose descendants are found in every state of the Union, came from Switzerland and settled in Lancaster County in 1715. David Keagy was her grandfather and on her mother’s side her remotest ancestor was William Bennett. Her grandfather, George Bennett, was an official of the Pennsylvania Railroad in Altoona. In 1942 she married Lieutenant John Shaver of the Pitt Medical Unit in the state of Washington. Two children bless their home: John Charles and Martha Louise Shaver. Return to John Charles Shaver |
