Louise is the wife of our eldest son, John. She is a native of Altoona, Pa., where she was born, a daughter of Dr. Frank and Martha (Bennett) Keagy, of that city. Her early education was secured in the public schools and at Altoona High School. She is also a graduate of Hood College and the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa.

Her paternal ancestry goes back to the early days of 1700, when John Keagy, whose descendants are found in every state of the Union, came from Switzerland and settled in Lancaster County in 1715. David Keagy was her grandfather and on her mother’s side her remotest ancestor was William Bennett. Her grandfather, George Bennett, was an official of the Pennsylvania Railroad in Altoona.

In 1942 she married Lieutenant John Shaver of the Pitt Medical Unit in the state of Washington. Two children bless their home: John Charles and Martha Louise Shaver.
