Anna Matilda Shaver, fifth child of the union of the Rev David and Nancy Linn Shaver, born on the family farm, Perry County, died in infancy. Anticipating the death of the infant, the father performed the baptismal service on the day prior to her death. She lived but 18 days, the cause of death not being recorded. She was buried in Emory Chapel Cemetery, Perry County.
